Voyager probe – Hasegawa

Now for something completely different for me, a real space model. The Voyager probe.

This is the Hasegawa kit – one of few rare 1/48 space kits out there. I replaced the included globe base with an old piece of stone. The plaque was 3d printed with ‘silk’ pla. There is an Eduard PE set for this kit, that replaced the antenna scaffolding with PE, so that they are hollow as in real life – instead of the kit’s solid plastic ones. However, given that this was supposed to be twisted, I doubted my ability to actually do this in PE, so I will live with the solid one instead. I have the Revell 1/48 Moon lander waiting from after this!
