Museum of the American Revolution
This museum opened in Philadelphia April 2017 and my visit was a year later in 2018. If you have an interest in the American revolution – and not just the military aspects – this is a good place to visit.
As a new museum, everything looks fresh and new. Their center piece is a short presentation of Washington’s Headquarters Tent, dsiplay behind glass with special lighting. When I visited, they had a colonial fife and drum group laying in front, and a special birthday cake to celebrates Washington’s Birthday. The museum gives a good broad view of the American revolution from multiple points of view. They have obviously given a lot of thought on presentations for kids – anticipating those class trips no doubt. The pictures here are of the more military related aspects of the displays. Definitely worth stopping by if you are in Philadelphia, PA.
